Biography
Emet Martinez is a photographer based in Southern California, with expertise in both traditional and digital photography. Originally from the Philippines, he pursued his artistic passion in photography after moving to the United States in 1990. Emet employs selective focusing and unique perspectives to create fresh and compelling images. His work has been featured in exhibitions at various galleries, including Lauren Taylor Fine Art Gallery in Carmel, City of Brea Gallery, SOKA’s Founder’s Hall Gallery, Santa Ana's Bear Street Gallery, Mission San Juan Capistrano’s Soldiers Barracks Gallery, Chemers Gallery, Coastline College Gallery, and the Irvine Fine Arts Center.

Emet finds inspiration in the Impressionist art movement, which has taught him to view the world in a non-literal manner. He also admires the subtle simplicity and lyrical nature of images by photographers such as Eddie Soloway, Sam Abell, and Michael Kenna, as well as the "In the Moment" images of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Saul Leiter.
